God had a sweet surprise for me this morning! Mama was in her usual spot on the sofa but she was alert and noticed me right away when I rounded the corner.

Mama and her sisters were blessed to live close to their mother and daddy in their final years, so as Mamaw grew weaker, her 5 daughters began taking shifts with caregiving.

I agonized over what to bring her for Mother’s Day, knowing that she can’t really focus on a card, nor flowers, nor clothes because I’ve tried it all before.
